As a community organization, Sustainable Southbury has made a commitment to the Southbury Food Bank to fill a shelf with canned fruit every month. We are committed to 40+ items per month of canned fruit and apple sauce, The cans should be 15 oz. size or packages of individual servings.
We need a volunteer each month to be the "collection" point for our monthly contribution for all members to drop off their donations of canned fruits and applesauce. Our volunteer then drops off our "shelf" of items to the Food Bank on the second Saturday of the month between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We invite you to donate items to support this important community organization. Fill out the contact form above, and in the message box, state that you want to participate in the Food Bank program. We will include you in our email reminder notification.
